ZINC - IRON ALLOY (Zn-Fe)

Zinc alloy plating is the fastest growing segment of the plating industry.  It's relatively low cost, outstanding corrosion protection and use of environmentally sensitive trivalent chromates has gained zinc alloy plating wide acceptance in the automotive industry.

Zinc - Iron is a zinc alloy coating that provides enhanced corrosion protection as well as superior lubricity, ductility and hardness.  Used with a trivalent chromate coating, this treatment meets automotive requirements for no hexavalent chromium coatings.

Micro Metal offers this coating in racking plating which gives superior appearance and plating distribution versus a barrel finish.

Used with black chromate coating, the zinc-iron alloy plating system with a sealer provides 800+ hours of salt spray protection.   The black appearance is a very rich and deep look.

Advantages

ü      Improved corrosion protection versus zinc

ü      Even deposit distribution

ü      Consistent color finish
