ZINC - IRON (Zn-Fe)
Zinc – Iron is a zinc alloy coating that provides enhanced corrosion protection as well as superior lubricity, ductility and hardness. Used with a trivalent chromate coating, this treatment meets the automotive requirements for no hexavalent chromium (e.g. GMW 3044). Used with black chromate coating, the zinc-iron alloy plating system provides 500-1,000 hours of salt spray protection. Zinc - Iron is not suitable for parts exposed to 250˚F +.

Advantages
ü Improved corrosion protection versus zinc
ü Even deposit distribution
ü Consistent color finish
ü Highly cost effective compared to other zinc alloy coatings
